April 14th - Information Services (IS) in collaboration with both the UNO colleges and the other University of Nebraska campuses, announces an expansion of collaboration and file-sharing services for UNO students, faculty and staff. The new tool, Box, will allow you and your students to access files from anywhere, at any time, using any device. Beginning on Monday, April 14th, you may activate your account by simply go to http://box.unomaha.edu and logging in with your UNO NetID.
Personal Work File Storage – Box will replace the current Web Folder or H Drive function that has previously been used to remotely access personal work documents. Your personal file storage limit in Box is 50GB. Information Services is asking all faculty staff and students to move or delete their data from the Web Folder or H Drive prior to its shut down on October 3, 2014.
Departmental File Storage - Box will replace the current Web Office or O Drive feature that has been available for departmental file storage for years. In the coming weeks, the technical staff in each college will work to create a file structure on Box and assist departments in moving data to the new cloud-based service. The current plan is to shut down the Web Office or O Drive on June 27, 2013.
